A little help.
Whenever you need it.

Setup is two steps, done once.

1. Filter tab, then Turn filtering on. iOS asks "Hesn Would Like to Add DNS Configurations" — tap Allow and confirm with Face ID or your passcode.
2. Open Settings › General › VPN, DNS & Device Management › DNS and tap Hesn. iOS only lets you pick a system-wide DNS filter from here — an app can't do it for you.
3. Back in Hesn, the card shows "Filtering is active." If it doesn't update, fully close Hesn and reopen it.

You only do step 2 once; after that the Filter tab's button turns Hesn on and off directly.

iOS allows only one DNS configuration. Remove any existing Hesn or AdGuard DNS profile in Settings › General › VPN, DNS & Device Management, then turn the filter on again from the app.

The iOS filtering permission is still being approved by Apple for your build. Your account and subscription work in the meantime; the filter activates once that's granted.

Forgot your password: reset it at dashboard.hesn.app/forgot. Didn't get the confirm-email link we send at sign-up? Open the app, Filter tab, and tap Resend on the confirm-email card, or email us. Your email and password work in both the app and at dashboard.hesn.app.

In the app, the Strictness tab switches between Basic, Standard and Strict. Changes take effect within a minute. Strict adds social media, image search and anonymisers on top of the Standard ruleset.

The Family plan covers up to 6 devices. In the app, on the Filter tab, tap Add a family device, name it, and share the setup link or QR code with whoever uses it. They open it on their iPhone to install the filter. You can also manage devices at dashboard.hesn.app/account.

In the app, on the Account tab, invite a spouse, friend or mentor by email. Once they accept, they get a private status page and an alert the moment the filter is turned off on any of your devices. You can remove them at any time — they're told when you do.

Bought in the iOS app: Apple handles billing — manage or cancel under your Apple Account in the Settings app, then Subscriptions, then Hesn. Bought on the web: use the cancellation link in any billing email, or email hello@hesn.app from your account address. In the iOS app: Account tab, then Delete account. This permanently removes your account, devices, filter configuration, accountability partner and history. A web subscription is cancelled at the end of the current period; an App Store subscription must be cancelled separately in iOS Settings. You can also request deletion by emailing hello@hesn.app from your account address.

Filtering happens on your device. We don't inspect your traffic and keep as little as possible. Full details are in the privacy policy.
